Back in 2002, gamers everywhere were enjoying the exploits of Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Not long before that, fans enjoyed its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 3. Now, it appears Sony is ready to allow these classic games to make an appearance on the PlayStation 3.
The latest Electronic Software Rating Board (ESRB) update showed that Sony Computer Entertainment was listed as the publisher of both games. While this is somewhat ambiguous, it is safe to infer that Sony is planning on re-releasing the titles.
Unfortunately, it is not known when the games will release, and whether or not they will appear on the PlayStation Network for download. However, due to the fact that several GTA titles have appeared on the Xbox, it would seem that Sony would like to get the titles on their native system as soon as possible.
This comes as a bit of a surprise, seeing as the games are now 10 years old, but perhaps they are hoping for an anniversary edition? What do you guys think?
