PowerA has been known for making controllers for many different platforms, so they know what they are doing, but they wanted to take the step up for a more competitive console. They turned to 4 hardcore pro gamers, who mostly play Halo, to test and develope a controller. The FUS1ON Controller is what they came up with.

Aside from the interesting look that might turn you off from trying this controller out, PowerA’s FUS1ON Controller improves on many aspects of the 360 controller design, one being the thumbsticks. They are bigger than the Microsoft Xbox thumbsticks, but are actually better and are what makes the FUS1ON controller sparkle. The reason behind the massiveness is that it actually lessens the distance from the center to the edge. Not only does it lessen the distance, but it also reduces thumb fatigue from long sessions of gaming. The larger size also makes it more precise for finer movements.

The controller is smaller than that of the 360 controller, the grips can be switched between plastic and rubber material, allowing for a better grip. Since it’s a pro gaming controller, is has to be wired for tournaments (So yes, it is wired). Not only does it have a 10 foot long wire/cable, you can also customize the lights below the thumbstick and buttons to many different colors.

You may be asking yourself, “Will it only be for Xbox players?” No, it will not be. They are making a PS3 version also, which looks exactly the same as the Xbox design, but with Playstation markings. PowerA, the ones behind the making of the FUS1ON controller, has not said a release date yet, but they said the controller will be priced below $100. With a controller looking as great as this, for only less than $100 is fantastic, and I think many people will agree with me.
