Xbox One's cloud will feature three times the CPU and storage capacity of the core console, a Microsoft spokesperson has said.
According to Jeff Henshaw, Microsoft group program manager of Xbox Incubation and Prototyping, the Xbox One cloud will be just as crucial to developers as the hardware inside the console.
"[for every Xbox One] we're provisioning the CPU and storage equivalent of three Xbox Ones on the cloud," Henshaw told OXM.
"We're doing that flat out so that any game developer can assume that there's roughly three times the resources immediately available to their game, so they can build bigger, persistent levels that are more inclusive for players. They can do that out of the game."
The Xbox One's Xbox Live service will be "powered by 300,000 servers" according to Microsoft's Marc Whitten.
