1. Download & install both files above.


2. Set up Media Center Extender (Tutorial Below).


3. Make sure the MKV Files are in "My Video's".


4. Load up Media Center Extender and navigate to Pictures and Video's.


5. Select Video Library.


6. Choose the video (MKV file) and enjoy!





1. Run Windows Media Center on xbox dashboard.


2. It should give you an 8 digit code ex: XXXX-XXXX.


3. Run Media Center on your PC, go to Tasks // Settings // Extender - Add extender.


4. Enter the eight digit code and click "Next" on the PC and "Continue" on the Xbox 360.


5. Now wait for the Xbox 360 to display the message saying "Contacting". Now you have the extender set up!


How to resume a paused video after the error

1. Leave the error screen and go back to Library.


2. Play a different video from the Library.


3. Leave that video and click resume on the video you would like to watch.


4. Wait for the buffering and finish watching it.



This happens because the console is not meant to play these types of files but it is better than waiting hours for a movie to convert.
