Recently, it was announced that the Vita was going to be getting some additional upgrades to help the struggling handheld gain some ground in the mobile gaming market. According to PlayStation Universe, one upgrade will be rolling out on Tuesday (August 28th) involving support for PlayStation One classics.
Unfortunately, there is little in the way of specifics on what games will be included now that the Vita will be capable of playing games like Twisted Metal, Jet Moto, Final Fantasy VII, etc. PlayStation fans are hoping to see some of those games available for download soon, but for now they will be glad to hear that the cult hit Psychonauts (a PS2 game) will be coming to the Vita.
Outside of the announcement itself, little has been provided in the way of information on the subject. One thing is for sure though, once these PS1 games hit the market, the Vita will see a boost in activity and appeal.
What do you guys think about the Vita getting some classic games? Are you more likely to buy a Vita now?
