Alan Wake studio is working on a game developed for new hardware Oskari Hakkinen, head of franchise development at Remedy, has said that as yet unannounced consoles the studio's developing for are significantly more capable than existing hardware. Speaking to the German edition of GamesIndustry.biz about Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4, or whatever Microsoft's and Sony's next gen consoles will be called, Hakkinen said (via Google translation): "We are working as usual, first with a relatively small team on a next-generation project. One wonders, yes always is: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the previous Rest assured: it's you, it is a quantum leap." Back in March, Remedy said it was on the lookout for talent to work on an unannounced project targeted at "future generation consoles". Neither Sony or Microsoft has officially confirmed plans to launch a new console, but last week EA Labels president Frank Gibeau teased that he'd seen fresh hardware from both companies.
