Earlier this week (and last week) some information was “leaked” about the new Xbox 720 console. Naturally, some were skeptical, but others took the information as fact. As a result, Microsoft has finally responded to those claims.
Of course, Microsoft was not exactly forthcoming, and acted in typical big business fashion saying that they could not confirm nor deny claims that the leak was true or false. They did, however, offer Eurogamer a few quotes, saying:
“We understand there is great interest and anticipation for what comes next for Xbox and we are lucky to have customers who are so passionate about the platform.”
“Today, there has never been a better time to own an Xbox 360 console. We have found new ways to extend the console lifecycle by introducing controller-free experiences with Kinect and we’ve re-invented the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships.”
“We are continually thinking about the future of the platform and when we have something to share, we will.”
So, essentially, we still have no idea. This may not sound like news, but their comments are worth reporting to clear the air of any certainties. Regardless, do you guys think the leaked information is true?
