Well, we’ve all heard the speculation about next generation consoles for a 2013 release, but how are games developers responding to all of this? Speculatively well, apparently.

After the booming success of Infinity Ward’s third instalment of the Modern Warfare franchise (statement subjectively endorsed) we can only hasten to expect a new IW Call of Duty game sometime in late 2013, following the biannual pattern that seems to have emerged. This has led to many an assumption with regards to whether this will be the first CoD to venture into proposed new technologies.

So, where’s the evidence? IW are currently looking for a “Senior Animator, preferably with experience in game development and an interest in working with next-generation technologies”. One can only assume that the guy in question will be contributing to the development of a next gen game. Want the job? Well, if you’ve got 5 or more years in the animation field they may give you a look in…

Do you think a Call of Duty 10 will be surfacing on a next-gen console or is it all too soon? How do you guys feel about the matter? Leave your opinions below.
