How does your PC behave on a wired connection?
If it is fast then it is either a weak signal, or...
You may be maxing out the bandwidth on the usb 2.0 port which is about 12mb/s on a REALLY good day.
So there is not much to do besides deal with it if this is the case.
If it is just a weak signal then just try to get it closer to the router but this may defeat the purpose.

So there is not much to do besides deal with it if this is the case.
