Minecraft developer Mojang are making sure players “have fireworks for New Year’s Eve,” with version 1.4.6, and the current plan is to release the update close to Christmas. A new snapshot is available and it features enchanted books, nether brick slabs and other neat things for your Minecraft world. After release, Mojang has 1.5 in the pipeline, which should arrive in January, and will include new uses for redstone ore and other goodies.
