Ok, so I bought another iPod Touch 4g a couple days ago and it was prejailbroken on ios 5.1,1.
There are a few things that are throwing me off about it though.
One is how slow it is.
I removed all packages that are not essential to the function of the device and cydia but is still going slow on the homescreen.
When loading apps I did a comparison between my other ipod touch 4g on ios 6 and the one on ios 6 owns it. I know that the JB should slow it down a bit but my 2g ran smoother than this one.

Is that a good amount?
Also, I think the JB was done with Redsn0w tethered then patched with Rocky Raccoon.
I don't like it way it was done so I want to restore it to 5.1.1 and install absinthe 2.0.
I have all the tools and blobs to do it but i get error 1600 even when in pwned DFU mode.
That may just be the blobs I have.
I heard of ifaith but it only goes up to 5.0.1.
So what can I do to either make it faster or reinstall 5.1.1?

Probably because it only has 143 mb of RAM do you end processors and clear memory a lot? Because I remember before I sold mine it had around 300 mb.

I mean I do clear mulltitasking and processes.
But even after that it still maxes out at 150,mb.
It is not running really anything from cydia.
pretty much just the basics.
I had this problem on my 2g and I solved it by restoring and and rejailbreaking.
I tried this but cannot because apple is no longer signing 5.1.1.
I guess I will have to live with it until they jailbreak ios 6 fully.

I did, I have tiny umbrella on my computer and iSHSHit on the iPod.
But I can't install it.
I keep getting errors when verifying restore with apple.
I have gotten error 11, 21, and 1600.
I am going to try it again right now.
I will let you know what I get.

I am just going to deal with it and use dreamboard because the windows phone 7 theme is awesome and runs nice on.
Then just wait for 6.0.1 so I can upgrade to 6.0 untethered.
I will have to be fast about it though, apple won't keep signing 6.0 for more than a day or 2 after the update comes out.

6.0 won't be untethered after 6.0.1 comes out when 6.0.1 comes out they wont give a shit about jailbreaking it they're moving on.

I have a question, if I save my blobs from my ipt4 running ios 6 can I use them on the other ipt4 running 5.1.1 to upgrade it?
II heard 6.0.1 is coming out in a couple days.
like Nov 2nd, and 6.1 will be out before Christmas.
