Rockstar Games continues to remain silent about Grand Theft Auto 5 in the realm of all things official, but a newly launched website and Twitter account seem to signal the start of some sort of viral campaign for the highly anticipated open world game (via Joystiq).

A Twitter account for The Epsilon Program, a name that popped up in GTA: San Andreas, connects to a website for a religion called KIFFLOM that appears to be a riff on the real world Scientology organization. Practitioners of Epsilonism apparently embrace "facts" like the world being only 157 years old or sperm being a myth propogated by biology teachers.

Dig through the website a little bit and you'll find on the testimonials page that the quotes come from people living in GTA universe locations like San Fierro, Liberty City, and Carcer City (from Manhunt). Also, Ohio. Yes, we now have confirmation: Ohio exists within the Grand Theft Auto universe. Bully.

Not enough evidence for you? How about the fact that a WHOIS lookup for EpsilonProgram.com reveals that Rockstar Games is the owner of the website? Given all of the evidence we have to work with here, I think the obvious answer is that we're looking at an early viral campaign for GTA 5. That's great news for fans of open world mayhem. And Jack Thompson.
