Welcome to my one stop computer shop!!

Now the title is a bit misleading as we are not selling any computer parts.

But what we are selling is our vast knowledge on computers to you all for the low low price of free.

So what does this mean for me?

This thread should be used as your one stop shop for anything computers.

We can help you try to troubleshoot and fix any problem you may or may not have with your computer whether it be a software or hardware.

Have a question about building a computer?
We can definitely help you with that.

Need to know what the difference is between i7 and a FX-8350, or DDR2 and DDR3, or why 2 cores can be better than 4, or why you NEED a GPU to play games on your PC?
    Ask me.

So how do I use this glorious machine?

Well when you have problem, need advice, or need an explanation you simply make a post here giving a good description of what you need and I will try my absolute hardest to assist you.

    So to conclude....

We are here to help you all, so please take advantage of it whilst it lasts.

tell me exactly what you are doing and what materials you are doing it with,

e.g. Do you have the Windows XP CD or are you using an iso image, are you trying to install windows xp while windows 8 is booted?

ISO, trying to install while Win 8 is booted.

It's easy, it just won't give me the Install Win XP button.

I'm using my USB, with the iso being extracted in the USB and simply clicking on setup.exe .

Hmm, ok you can try running the setup ias administrator,
if that doesn't work then we can try compatibility mode.

I have not used windows 8 before so i am guessing on where to go off windows 7.

1.Right click the setup.exe then click propeties.

    2. Click the "compatibility" tab and check the box that says something like "run this program in compatibility mode for"

    3. select windows XP then click apply then run it as admin.

Let me know if that works while I look for links.

Or he could just download an iso, extract with win rar / 7zip, run the setup, and choose to delete everything and do a clean install.
