Attendees of the San Diego Comic Con expo will get the chance to play Xbox One, Microsoft has confirmed.
The event, which takes place at the San Diego Convention Center from July 18 - 21, will play host to an Xbox booth displaying playable Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles, including Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct "and more".
The firm will also have an 'Xbox Gaming Lounge' at the nearby Grand Hyatt, featuring more games including Dead Rising 3, Halo: Spartan Assault, the upcoming Halo 4 DLC 'Champions Bundle', a lots more from third-party publishers.
Microsoft will present two panels at the convention on July 18: the first at 11:45am titled 'Inside the Looking Glass: Building Halo Worlds and Wonders, Past, Present and Future', and the second at 5pm called 'Bringing the Roman Empire to Life on Xbox One: The Creation of Ryse: Son of Rome'. This adds Comic Con to the growing list of public-access events that will host playable next-generation consoles, preceding August's Gamescom expo in Germany and the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas, both of which will host Xbox One and PS4 games.
Microsoft has confirmed an Xbox One release date of November 2013. It will go head-to-head with the PS4 release which is currently officially 'holiday 2013'.
