Following outrage from it's players, The War Z has been removed from Steam because it lacked the features it had promised to players.
Complaints emerged on Steam's community forums and on Reddit, where players went to vent their anger about being sold an 'incomplete game'.
One of the most painful hits to it players is that Hammerpoint, the makers of The War Z, have blamed players for not understand the game's features.
“it was clear that there were a number of customers that felt that information about the game was presented in a way that could have allowed for multiple interpretations," The War Z executive producer Sergey Titov said in a statement on the game's official forums.
Steam said:
"We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchase the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site."
So once again a game has been released that wasn't fit for release and it's players are expected to pay full price and wait for updates that may or may not come.
How does this make you feel?
