Microsoft's new Surface Pro has been announced and will come with a starting price of $899 for the 64GB version and $999 for the 128GB. Although that price does not include the cover/keyboard accessory which will cost a further $120 for the touch version and $130 for the type version. But both models are said to include a Surface Pen. Surface Pro differs from the previous version by including Intel's most current i5 processor, a higher resolution 10.6” display running at 1920x1080 and an increase to 4GB of RAM. Surface Pro also has a full-sized USB 3.0 port and a mini DisplayPort that can drive an external display up to a 2560x1440 resolution. One of the greater features of the Surface Pro is thanks to owning an Intel processor, it has the ability to run Windows legacy apps. Microsoft have refused to comment on the price and availability of Surface Pro for the UK market.
