The list of features still to be added to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is quite long but 4J Studios revealed Monday that texture pack support is being added to the hit Xbox LIVE Arcade title."We have started work on texture pack support," the studio said in response to a fan's question. "No dates for any releases yet though."Adding support for texture packs will allow users to change the look of the blocks that are used to construct the Minecraft worlds along with mobs and the user interface. This feature has been a part of the game since it was in alpha but it was unknown if it would ever come to the console version. How it will be implemented is still a question since Microsoft does not allow for easy modding via Xbox LIVE. 4J Studios is already working on "tailored mods" for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition so it is possible the developer could implement a similar solution for texture packs.
