    PlayStation Network will go offline for scheduled maintenance Monday, October 15

    [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

    During maintenance, users will be unable to access the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP, PSN Account Management, PSN Account Registration, and they will not be able to sign into the network from the PlayStation websites.

    Systems will be down from from 13:00 BST on Monday, October 15 at 1.00pm BST until Tuesday, October 16 at 2.00am BST.

    PS3 owners will still be able to collect in-game trophies which will be updated to their profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

    @Jug, I don't know, Vita is counted as a PSP on PSN.
    But I think they will spruce it up but I don't know to what extent.

    No for the PSN servers,
    When an account is on a PS3 it activation is counted as being on a PS3.
    when you put an account on the Vita or PSP it counts as an avtivation on a vita or PSP.
    You can only have 2 PS3's that are able to download games, and it used to be 5 PSP's but I don't know about now.
    I know the Vita is much better than PSP, I was just talking about what the network recognizes it as. lol.
