Real Niqqa Speakin' News - Gmail about to look sexy

    Real Niqqa Speakin' News

There's a new version of Gmail making the rounds at Google, if a couple of leaked screenshots from Geek.com can be believed. Those shots describe a radical user interface change and a handful of new features. Whether they're real and/or final or not is up for debate - even the report notes that the organizational features are mostly experimental at this point.

Aside from the new flat look to the user interface and Google+-style rounded profile pics, the biggest change comes in the form of a new inbox view, with a focus on organizing messages by content. Social, Finance, and Forum meta-tags seem to be automatically applied in this view, superseding standard messages and coming with their own unread counts. They also give a brief overview of new email recipients - check out the bolded "Twitter" text in the screenshot above. The standard "star" system for highlighting messages has been replaced with a pin, and it looks like pinned messages will automatically be placed above others in your inbox when the view is applied. (Note the pin slider next to the search button.) Pinned messages revert to a timeline view when un-pinned.

The action bar is gone, and now there's a floating "+" button at the bottom of the screen for new compositions. According to the report, the new app …

SimCity offline update launching today, some server downtime

Tue Mar 18, 2014 4:44 pm by StriickeN

Update 10, which brings offline play to SimCity for the first time, is launching today after successfully coming through final testing. An announcement on the EA forums reads, "Today at 6AM PT we will be releasing Update 10 with Offline play. This involves server down time and the game servers will be unavailable for a few hours."

EA unveiled Update 10 and the new single-player mode back in January, after a 2013 in which the publisher came under severe criticism for implementing an "always-on" system for the city-building sim. That system backfired when servers buckled under the weight.

EA has already said players can access their previously downloaded content in the single-player mode, and they can save their files locally. A new FAQ reveals players still have to sign into Origin to launch the game, but Origin can be put into an offline mode while the single-player mode is being played.

Sony has released PS4 system software update 1.62.

"Operation quality during use of some PlayStation 4 format software has been improved," reads the official description of the patch, which weighs in at 336MB.

Sony said earlier this month that worldwide PS4 sales totalled six million units as of March 2, up from 5.3 million as of February 8.

Global PS4 software sales stood at 13.7 million units as of March 2. Top selling tiles include Killzone Shadow Fall, which has moved over 2.1 million units, as well as Knack, Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

Sony's long-rumoured PS4 virtual reality headset will be revealed at the Game Developers Conference this week, according to multiple reports. Most recently, Edge claimed to have received confirmation of the platform holder's plans from multiple development sources.

The headset will reportedly be revealed during Sony's GDC session this Tuesday, March 18. 'Driving the Future of Innovation at Sony Computer Entertainment' will be presented by SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, SCEA R&D senior director Richard Marks, and SCEA R&D senior software engineer Anton Mikhailov.

Titanfall bans being issued to cheaters

Titanfall studio Respawn Entertainment has started banning cheaters.

Following confirmation that the studio has started to issue bans, developer Jon Shiring took to Twitter to explain that anti-cheat detection measures had been active since the launch of the game.

In early March Respawn said it was working hard to eliminate Titanfall cheaters: "Finding cheaters in Titanfall? So are we. We're logging them now and they will be rooted out shortly."

Titanfall debuted at No.1 on the UK all formats chart on Monday after enjoying the biggest launch of 2014 to date.

The game drove a 96 per cent increase in UK Xbox One sales during the week ended March 15.

Borderlands 3 not in development yet

According to Randy Pitchford, Head of Gearbox Software, development of the expected titan of a game known as Borderlands 3 is not yet underway.

Pitchford has big ideas for the title and based on his comments they are just too lofty for the studio at this time. While he made it clear that they are not done with the series as a whole they cannot just start development at this time.

Randy Pitchford wrote:When you think of what Borderlands 3 should be, it should be massive. It should be bigger and better than Borderlands 2. It should carry forward the story. It's probably crazy multiplatform, depending on timing. It would have to be a next-gen game and a current-gen game, if it was coming at any time in the reasonably near future.
