Changing your root password after evasi0n

After the evasi0n jailbreak your phone is vulnerable to hackers as after everyone jailbreaks their device the default password is set to the same thing (alpine). This tutorial will show you how to change this to keep your phone safe and secure!

1. Go to cydia and download mobile terminal by searching "Mobile Terminal" in the search menu.


2. Exit Cydia and open Mobile Terminal


3. Type 'su root', press return/enter.


4. For password type 'alpine', press return/enter.


5. Type 'passwd', press return/enter.


6. Put in a password you can remember, press return/enter.


7. Re-enter the same password to confirm it, press return/enter.


8. Type 'Exit', press return/enter.
