So as some of you may know,
I have a iPod Touch 2nd generation jailbroken on iOS 4.2.1.
It is refusing to connect to my laptop, PC or even charge off my PS3.
It won't charge and Windows give me an error when it is connected.
It does charge on the dock and the only way for me to sync it is through Wi-Fi Sync which connects it to my computer through my Wi-Fi.
I have called Apple and they want $60 to remotely access my computer because they say that is the issue.
But if it were my computer it shouldn't connect through Wi-Fi because that still accesses the drivers.
I have tried 2 cords and neither work.
It did work once or twice by me plugging my jack that go into my stereo to the ipod while it was plugged into the computer.
Restoring the iPod is clearly not an option.
I have installed 3 different versions of iTunes.
    Any help is appreciated.
I have also used another iPod with the same cable and computer afterwards with no problem.

uninstall the driver for the ipod then reinstall if that doesn't work try plugging it in waiting 1--20 minutes then press home + the power button at the same time until it turns on

Tried that, the iPod doesn't have real drivers.
    They come with iTunes.
    I tried both of those.
But what are the drivers called?

there should be a driver that allows the ipod to connect to the pc... go to control pannel, installed programs and try to find it should be pretty easy to find if you don't have tons of programs on your computer

    Apple mobile device support?
    How would I reinstall it?
I was able to sync a 32gb 3g without problem.
I know the 8gb 2g and 3g are pretty close to being the same.
